• Users under 18 require supervision and consent from a parent or legal guardian

2.2 Account Registration

By creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Use only one account per person (no duplicate accounts)

2.3 Verification

3.1 Property Owners/Landlords

As a property owner, you agree to:

3.2 Tenants/Renters

As a tenant, you agree to:

• Inspection Etiquette: Respect property and owner's time during inspections
• Legitimate Interest: Only request inspections for properties you're genuinely considering

4.1 You agree NOT to:

• Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent property information
• Use the platform for any illegal activities or purposes
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Attempt to circumvent our systems or security measures
• Create fake reviews or manipulate ratings
• Discriminate against users based on race, religion, gender, or other protected characteristics
• Share personal contact information in public listings (use our messaging system)
• Spam users with unsolicited messages or advertisements
• Upload inappropriate, harmful, or offensive content
• Violate any local, state, or federal laws

4.2 Content Guidelines

All content must be:

• Accurate and truthful
• Relevant to property rental purposes
• Free from offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate material
• Compliant with local laws and regulations
• Your own original content or properly licensed

5.1 Listing Standards

Property listings must include:

• Accurate property descriptions and specifications

• Correct location and contact information
• Transparent rental terms and requirements
• Compliance with local housing regulations

5.2 Platform Role

CozzyConnect serves as an intermediary platform. We:

• Do NOT: Verify property conditions, handle rental payments, or act as landlord/tenant
• DO: Facilitate connections, enable communication, and provide platform tools
• Are NOT responsible for: Property conditions, rental agreements, disputes between users

5.3 Reviews and Ratings

• Reviews must be based on actual experiences
• We may remove fake, defamatory, or inappropriate reviews
• Property owners can respond to reviews publicly
• Reviews become part of your public profile

6.1 Platform Fees

• Basic platform use is free for tenants
• Property owners may be subject to listing fees or subscription plans
• Premium features may require additional payment
• All fees will be clearly disclosed before charging

6.2 Payment Terms

• Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated
• We reserve the right to change fee structures with 30 days notice
• Late payments may result in service suspension

7.1 CozzyConnect's Rights

• All platform content, features, and functionality are owned by CozzyConnect
• Our trademarks, logos, and service marks are protected intellectual property
• You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute our content without written permission

7.2 User Content

By uploading content, you:

• Grant us a non-exclusive license to display your content on our platform
• Retain ownership of your original content
• Represent that you have rights to all content you upload
• Are responsible for ensuring your content doesn't violate third-party rights

• Both parties agree to attempt good faith resolution before legal action

12.1 Termination by User

• You may delete your account anytime through platform settings
• Some information may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes

12.2 Termination by CozzyConnect

We may suspend or terminate accounts for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Harm to other users or platform integrity
• Non-payment of fees
• Inactive accounts (after reasonable notice)

12.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your access to the platform will cease
• Active listings will be removed
• Some data may be retained for legal compliance
• Outstanding obligations survive termination

13.1 Platform Disclaimer

CozzyConnect is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

13.2 No Guarantee of Services

We do not guarantee:

• Continuous, uninterrupted access to the platform
• Accuracy of user-generated content
• Successful rental outcomes
• Property conditions or user behavior

13.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• Our liability is limited to the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• This includes loss of profits, data, or business opportunities

13.4 User Responsibility

You acknowledge that:

• Property rental decisions are your sole responsibility
• You should conduct due diligence on properties and users
• CozzyConnect is not a real estate agent or property manager

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law principles.
